Dr. Adeolu Ogundeji is a distinguished medical doctor and healthcare executive with over two decades of experience spanning clinical medicine, public health, health insurance, and financial risk management. His career reflects a deep commitment to strengthening healthcare systems and expanding access to quality care through innovation, strategic leadership, and policy advocacy.

Dr. Ogundeji earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the College of Medicine, University of Ilorin, and a postgraduate degree in Public Health from the Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), equipping him with a strong foundation in population health and preventive care.

He began his medical career with the Oyo State Hospital Management Board and gained further clinical experience at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, the Lagos State Hospital Management Board, and a few private health institutions.

Driven by a passion for systemic impact, Dr. Ogundeji transitioned into health insurance and managed care, joining Unic Health where he rose to the position of Medical Manager. He later served as Head of Quality Assurance and Risk Management at KBL Healthcare Limited, a subsidiary of the former Bank PHB (now Keystone Bank). In this role, he was a key member of the General Management Committee, Investment Committee, and chaired the Risk Management Committee, contributing to strategic decision-making and operational oversight.

In 2016, Dr. Ogundeji was appointed Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Fountain Healthcare Limited, a leading Health Maintenance Organization (HMO). He became Chief Executive Officer in 2018, where he continues to lead the organization’s growth, innovation, and commitment to delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare services.

Beyond his corporate leadership, Dr. Ogundeji serves as a Public Health Advisor with the Canadian Red Cross, contributing to public health initiatives and community-based interventions across Canadian territories. He also sits on the boards of the Imperial Health Advocacy Foundation (IHAF), a non-governmental organization, and Hexel Limited, a company with diversified interests.

Dr. Ogundeji has completed numerous local and international trainings in clinical and administrative medicine, health economics, leadership, and business management. He holds Certificate in Health Economics – World Bank Institute, Washington D.C., Certificate in Leadership and Management in Health – University of Washington, USA, Certificate in Finance – McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

He is a Fellow of the Institute for Health Insurance and Managed Care of Nigeria, a certified member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), and a member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) and the Manitoba Public Health Association (MPHA) in Canada.

Known for his strategic insight and passion for healthcare transformation, Dr. Ogundeji continues to champion initiatives that bridge clinical excellence with sustainable health financing. He is happily married and enjoys reading and driving in his leisure time.
